David M. Marek became a partner at Liddle & Robinson
on January 1, 2006. He joined the firm as an associate in 2002. Mr.
Marek has been lead counsel on several NYSE and NASD arbitrations
covering a wide range of employment-related issues. Specifically,
Mr. Marek has successfully arbitrated claims
for, among other things, underpayment
of bonus compensation, forfeiture of deferred compensation,
breach of contract, and defamation.
Mr. Marek has also litigated to a successful resolution claims including age,
gender, and race discrimination, sexual harassment, violation of ERISA, violation
of the Equal Pay Act, violation of the New York Labor Law, breach of contract,
underpayment of wages, defamation, and fraud. Mr. Marek has counseled individuals
on all aspects of the employment relationship including negotiating employment
contracts and separation agreements.
Mr. Marek graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. He
received his J.D. from Columbia University Law School in 1999. Prior to
joining Liddle & Robinson, Mr. Marek worked as in-house counsel for an Internet
start up and then as a litigation associate at a large law firm. Mr. Marek
is a member of the New York and Florida Bars. Mr. Marek is also a member
of the New York City Bar’s Labor and Employment Committee.
